In shift-M, the IKEM analyzes and evaluates transport transition measures for a dynamic and forward-looking transport policy.
The successful transformation of the mobility sector towards more climate protection depends on a number of factors. Geopolitical and economic developments have recently led to uncertainties, disrupted supply chains and challenging cost and price trends. At the same time, the requirements and measures of the mobility transition and its economic and social effects are increasingly being discussed in public. In the future, leaps in technology, changing energy prices and developments in society as a whole will also shape the mobility sector.
A transport policy that is intended to support the climate-effective transformation of the sector must therefore be both dynamic and forward-looking. Against this backdrop, IKEM and its partners are putting together a team of experts to analyse and evaluate mobility transition measures on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV). In addition, the team provides ad hoc advice for the BMDV on a wide range of issues related to the climate-effective transformation of the mobility sector.
