Markus Lehnshack is a research assistant at IKEM. His research focuses on the mobility, energy and building sectors, with a particular focus on socially just solutions to the challenges of the climate crisis. He also deals with issues of gender equality. In addition to his research, he is responsible for the Institute’s acquisition activities.
He studied law at the University of Potsdam, specializing in international law. During his studies, he completed an internship at the Permanent Mission of Austria to the OSCE in Vienna and worked as a research associate at the law firms Dombert Rechtsanwälte and Wegnerpartner, where he gained experience in public and private construction and planning law, tenancy law and corporate law. He completed his legal clerkship in Berlin with stations at the German Bundestag, the law firm Geulen & Klinger and the environmental law organization ClientEarth.
